Two Exciting New Kissimmee Venues
Central Florida's Kissimmee offers many options to build a winning team and have fun doing it. But the two newest activities give meeting professionals a choice of exciting airborne or on-the-water challenges for healthy and very entertaining group competition.

In late spring 2011, Kissimmee will become home to an exciting new zip line attraction at Gatorland, the alligator capital of the world. Planners can play to their group's sense of adventure as they zoom along the 1,200-foot Eco Zip Line reaching heights up to 56 feet at speeds up to 30 mph. Part of the thrill is soaring over alligators, crocodiles and habitats of more than 150 reptiles. Gatorland also makes a unique event venue.

Just as compelling a group challenge with a different twist, groups can catch a wave at the new Fantasy Surf. Opened Oct. 22, this indoor surfing center features a FlowRider system that is 32 feet wide and 49 feet long, similar to those used on cruise ships. Located at FantasyWorld Resort, the 14,000-square-foot aquatic recreation facility is padded and cushioned in case of wipeouts.

For sports-minded groups, Kissimmee's Osceola County Softball Complex is one of the busiest and best-maintained facilities in the nation. Host to more than 29,000 athletes and spectators each year, the complex is the ideal location for tournaments and group challenges.

Kissimmee is located close to the Walt Disney World® theme parks, which offer a wide selection of team building activities and event venues. Nature is abundant in the Kissimmee area, and groups can find their wild side with airboating adventures, fishing, horseback riding and even rodeo events at the Silver Spurs Arena in the Osceola Heritage Park Complex.

Easy access from Orlando International Airport and Orlando Sanford Airport and a portfolio of meeting hotels, resorts and facilities that accommodate groups from 10 to 10,500 make Kissimmee a diverse and entertaining meeting destination. Contact Debby Rivera, CMP, or go to MeetInKissimmee.com to get the inside scoop on all the exceptional meeting and team building options in the Kissimmee area.
