Orlando Hotel Openings and Renovations
Three new Hiltons, an upscale Holiday Inn and a revamp of an old classic.

With the addition of several new hotels, and the remodel of an existing favorite, Orlando's facilities are sure to please meeting professionals.

The biggest news in Orlando hotels is the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, the first Waldorf hotel outside of New York. Surrounded on three sides by Walt Disney World Resort, the property boasts 28,000 square feet of space sectioned into 15 meeting rooms, two executive boardrooms and an 8,100-square-foot Grand Ballroom, all with sweeping views of local waterways. Private gatherings can reserve poolside areas or a 25,000-square-foot island. Of course, all of the amenities you can imagine are available at the hotel, including world-class dining, a championship golf course, spa and 497 exquisitely appointed guest rooms.

Adjacent to the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, the new Hilton Bonnet Creek provides an enticing array of group options – not the least of which is access to the Waldorf and all it has to offer. Look forward to more than 40 meeting rooms under 150,000 square feet of meeting space.

brand-new meeting space. Most importantly, the hotel is connected by a covered walkway to the North/South Building of the Orange County Convention Center. Special touches like an on-site UPS Store, spa and fitness center, two pools, a Lazy River and several dining options are found at the Hilton Orlando.

With a $1 billion relaunched brand, the Holiday Inn in the Walt Disney World Resort has all of the conveniences you expect of Holiday Inn with unexpected upscale style and amenities. A zero-entry pool, 323 completely redone guest rooms, complimentary parking and WiFi will make your gathering efficient and enjoyable. For after-meeting entertainment, the Holiday Inn is located within walking distance of Downtown Disney and has complimentary shuttles to the other Disney parks. The hotel features 11,000 square feet of meeting space with a 450-seat ballroom.

Looking forward, the classic Peabody Orlando is scheduled to reopen with serious renovations next year. The 150,000 square feet of meeting facilities is slated to reopen in August 2010, while the remaining spaces, including a 32-story hotel tower with a total of 1,641 guest rooms, spa, pool and restaurant, will debut in November 2010.\
