New Hyatt Clearwater Beach Resort Coming Soon
Clearwater Beach will welcome its newest oceanfront meetings resort in December 2009. The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa will debut in the heart of Beach Walk, a $30 million revitalization project that resulted in a half-mile stretch of beautifully landscaped walkways along world-famous Clearwater Beach, linking groups to a very walkable collection of dining, entertainment and shopping options.

The Mediterranean-inspired yet contemporary resort will overlook powder-white sands and pristine Gulf of Mexico waters. It's less than 30 minutes from both Tampa International Airport (TPA) and St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport (PIE).

Spacious guest accommodations include 250 premier one- and two-bedroom suites that range from 600 to 2,000 square feet. Each suite includes a walkout terrace with Gulf of Mexico views, a 42-inch flat-screen television and a full kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

The resort offers 12,500 square feet of indoor function space, with the 4,000-square-foot ballroom at the center of it all. Five large meeting rooms as well as four of the resort's 20 air-conditioned poolside cabanas are among the possibilities for breakouts and smaller meetings.

Event venues have been well planned.

An eighth-floor Event Room with a wraparound terrace overlooking the Gulf and the second-floor Beach Club Room are both ideal for receptions or meal functions. Outdoors, planners will have their choice of the 4,400-square-foot Rooftop Terrace, the eighth-floor pool deck terrace and functions held directly on the white-sand beach.

Group pampering can be arranged at the full-service Hyatt Pure Spa overlooking the Intracoastal, and the Hyatt StayFit Gym will be open 24 hours for attendee and VIP convenience. When it comes to dining, the resort's signature SHOR restaurant will offer coastal American cuisine, specializing in local seafood and featuring an open show kitchen and fabulous Gulf views. Restaurant chefs will "cook your catch" after a day of fishing. Swim Bar & Restaurant will offer Pan-Latin dishes, and a Starbucks is on site.

Group reservations will be accepted after January 15, 2010. Contact Director of Sales & Marketing Nancy Longstreth for further information. Hyatt is currently offering valuable meeting incentives–find them at meetings.visitflorida.com/special_offers.
