Naples Beach Hotel Renovations
The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club's championship golf course is better than ever thanks to recently completed renovations. It is Southwest Florida's only beachfront resort to feature an on-site championship golf course, making it very attractive for groups looking to incorporate events on the greens into their meeting agendas.

The par 72 course, built in 1927, now boasts new grass on all of the fairways, 12 of the greens and on all 18 tee boxes. In addition, new bridges have been built over some of the course's water features.

"Not only have we played host to amateur and professional events, we've also been named the 'Best Public Course in Southwest Florida' – no small feat considering our competition," said head golf pro George Willard. "The renovations we've made to our tees and greens were designed to enhance play while maintaining the originality that's been our trademark for decades."

The Property
Continually enhancing its already-impressive offerings, the 317-room resort completed a $22 million renovation in 2010. The multi-phase project included the renovation of guest rooms and suites, and the addition of a new $5 million beachfront pool complex. The pool complex provides an appealing function space for group events and team building activities and features two pools, two whirlpools and a pool bar with food service. The 125-acre resort now features a total of 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Most recently, updates to the Sunset Beach Bar have been underway to bring guests a new outdoor grill, restrooms and expanded entertainment deck.

Winning awards
In addition, the resort has won some prestigious awards. It was presented with "The Green to Gold Award" by the Economic Development Council of Collier County for "best exemplifying green leadership." The resort, a certified participant in Florida's Green Lodging Program, incorporates an array of environmentally friendly initiatives in its operation.

The resort has also been named a "Best of the South" winner by Meetings South magazine. The winners were determined by votes from meeting planners. Selections were based on the quality of meeting space, guest rooms, staff, service, food and beverage, amenities and activities.

These honors follow other recent awards presented to the resort, including their eighth consecutive Successful Meetings' "Pinnacle Award" and MeetingNews magazine's coveted "Planners' Choice Award."
