Magical Meetings at Disney's Vero Beach
Disney's Vero Beach Resort, the only oceanfront Disney property in Florida, recently added to its already impressive meeting facilities. The resort unveiled a new state-of-the-art boardroom and The Spa at Disney's Vero Beach opened in late 2010.
The new 325-square-foot Galleon Room joins the existing 1,624-square-foot Seagrape Banquet Room, providing smaller groups with two dedicated meeting spaces. The Galleon Room features high-tech audiovisual options, with a 55-inch LCD television, high-speed Internet and other conference technology.
In addition to the Galleon Room, groups can meet in Sonya's restaurant, which is open only for dinner and is known for award-winning fine dining. Create a unique atmosphere in the private Green Cabin Room lounge, amid authentic relics of historic shipwrecks. Carry the theme further with a pirate-themed event space with built-in décor. Team-building activities are available at a nearby golf course and hiking trails, and, from May to October, groups can participate in turtle nesting tours and even adopt a nest and watch the baby's progress online after the meeting. And, of course, the Disney touch makes meetings magical at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

and the only vichy shower in the Vero Beach area. The 1,500-square-foot spa can accommodate four attendees per hour for a group spa day in a soothing beachfront setting.
"The new spa offers enriching treatments tailored to the needs of our guests," said Sheryl Koenes, general manager of Disney's Vero Beach Resort. "Tanja McGuire and her team share the same service-oriented approach that Disney is known for."
Located on the Atlantic Ocean in Indian River County, Vero Beach is approximately 90 minutes north of Palm Beach International Airport and 30 minutes south of Florida's Space Coast. Disney's Vero Beach Resort is found in this sophisticated setting of seaside communities accessible by air through the Melbourne International Airport. The resort offers 211 guest rooms in an assortment of charming one- and two-bedroom vacation homes, three-bedroom beach cottages and studios. Meeting space is ideal for smaller groups, and, in the winter months, planners can get creative with warm outdoor poolside or beachside backdrops for meetings and events.
