Hilton Daytona Beach & New Ocean Center
The 744-room Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort is not only the anchor hotel for the recently transformed and expanded Ocean Center convention, entertainment and sports complex, but it's also a conference center. The largest Hilton on the east coast of Florida, it offers more than 60,000 square feet of indoor function space, the 18,000- square-foot Coquina Ballroom, an 8,500-square-foot junior ballroom, a variety of meeting and breakout rooms and spacious oceanfront pre-function areas.

Located just across the street from the 200,000-square-foot Ocean Center, and connected to Ocean Walk Village dining, retail and entertainment complex, groups are in the heart of the Daytona Beach Convention District and just steps from the beach at the Hilton.

The assortment of indoor space, idyllic beachfront outdoor settings and beach cabanas overlooking Atlantic shores provide a great option for groups seeking events and meetings complete with ocean breezes.

There's a Hilton Spa for group pampering, and seven on-site restaurants, including a private fine-dining room at the Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, casual networking at Legends Sports Bar or dining poolside.

"Daytona Beach is a very affordable, centrally-located meetings destination. Once groups arrive at the Hilton, they find everything they need on property and within walking distance. The Convention Center, the beach, dining and entertainment are all right here." Said Angela Cameron, director of

The Hilton also gives groups a glimpse into Daytona Beach history, with views of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, Bandshell and Clock Tower. Originally built in the 1930s, the Bandshell is an outdoor amphitheater made of natural coquina rock, where groups may catch an outdoor concert or plan their own event for up to 4,500 attendees.

The Ocean Center underwent an ambitious expansion that was completed in 2009. It resulted in a 200,000-square-foot flexible interior, multi-purpose space. It also includes a 95,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Groups of 10 to 10,000 can be accommodated at the center, where additional outdoor function space is also available. Ocean Center is located a mere 400 feet from the Atlantic Ocean (in the convention district), and features a $400,000 art collection that complements the dramatic architecture of the complex.

A newly-designed website exclusively for meeting professionals showcases the exciting selection of hotels, resorts, unique venues and assistance from the award-winning Daytona Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau. The CVB wants planners to know that "It's a new day in Daytona." Contact Sally Gardiner, director of convention sales, for more information on Daytona Beach meetings, conventions and incentives.
