Pre & Post Meeting Ideas
Here are some great pre- and post-meeting ideas to share with your attendees
- Satisfy your need for speed at the interactive DAYTONA USA, where you can take a 16-second pit stop challenge, watch an IMAX® film, drive a race car, and more.
- Have some old-fashioned fun at Daytona Lagoon, part waterpark, part amusement center, with water rides, go-karts, mini golf, and an arcade.
- Timing is important here, as the area hosts a variety of popular annual events. Speedweeks takes place at the beginning of February; Bike Week is held in the beginning of March; and the Pepsi 400 rolls into town in early July.
- Climb to the top of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse, the tallest in Florida at 175 feet, for sweeping views of the coast and Halifax River.
- See the skeleton of a giant ground sloth and check out fine collections of Cuban and Chinese art at the renowned Museum of Arts and Sciences.
- Suspend your sense of disbelief and take a ghostly walking tour of Daytona Beach's spiritual side with Haunts of Daytona Beach.
- Rent a kayak or canoe and explore the waters of DeLeon Springs State Park; watch for manatees at Blue Spring State Park in nearby Orange City; or take a ranger-guided boat tour along the St. Johns River.
- The shores of New Smyrna Beach are especially family-friendly, and some stretches here and on Daytona Beach allow vehicles. Be sure to scope out New Smyrna Beach's funky Flagler Avenue and Canal Street to shop for surf gear and souvenirs.
- Put yourself in the hands of professionals at the Vacation Therapy Spa at Ocean Walk Resort; sign up for "The Perfect Day" package at the European-style Ocean Waters Spa at the Plaza Resort; or pamper yourself with Balinese spa treatments at The Shores' Spa Terre.
- Choose from two championship courses or sign up for swing lessons with the pros at LPGA International.
